Are the chicks marked or separated when I receive them?

When you order specifically males, yes, but we will not mark the different breeds.

If you ordered roosters, or have two breeds that look very similar, the packager will often mark their heads or chests (where-ever their fuzz is the lightest) to signify the difference, and the packing slip should tell you what the color markings mean.

We will not separate or mark the chicks by breed, but most of our customers can easily identify the breed by comparing the color and pattern of the chicks to the pictures on our website. If you receive the birds and are having any difficulty identifying which are which, please feel free to snap a few picture and send them to us so that we can help you properly identify them.
